I completed my bachelor's degree at Caltech in bioengineering in 2016 and was subsequently a Fulbright scholar at the Technical University of Denmark in the Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine. In 2023, I obtained my PhD in biological engineering from MIT, where I studied the origins of CRISPR-Cas systems from mobile elements, biochemical diversity in CRISPR-Cas systems, and applications of RNA-guided systems for genome and transcriptome editing in Feng Zhang's lab at the Broad Institute. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Erin Chen's lab at the Broad Institute, where I study host-microbiome protein-protein interactions.
