Bennett is a philosopher working on the foundations of ethics, with a focus on the relationship between morality and human nature. Inspired by the Aristotelian and Kantian traditions in moral theory, his current research project argues that moral norms are grounded in our nature as rational agents capable of acting for the sake of one another. Bennett received his PhD from MIT in 2026 and his BA from Northwestern in 2020.
